For some firms, the value of their fixed assets is obvious; for others, it is unclear and likely overstated or understated due to years of cursory analytical practices such as national average trending, neglecting the impact of economic changes, or working with inappropriate base data. It is critical for Risk Managers to understand and have confidence in the value of the assets they have insured.
A Risk Manager can need help to solidify valuation process—developing methodology, data collection, scope, or qualification—through oversight and consulting, or turn-key analysis, from which accurate calculations of value of buildings and contents are derived.

VSP’s valuation specialists have the experience and qualifications to develop flexible solutions to help establish an accurate SOV. This enables organizations to meet their overall financial objectives without compromising the integrity of the SOV. Our experts can evaluate the validity of the data and the process by which the current SOV was derived, or can turnkey the entire valuation process from initial data collection to final reporting of the SOV.
Prior to any potential project VSP will works with the Risk Manager to help outline a valuation program that produces a supportable, high-quality, repeatable work product in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
