Maricarmen Marquez is the Latin America and Caribbean practice co-leader for Marsh Risk Consulting’s Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) Practice. Based out of the Miami office, Maricarmen’s responsibilities include supervising a staff of experienced professionals in the preparation and review of damages claims and insurance valuations where accounting expertise applies.
Maricarmen joined Marsh Risk Consulting in 2011. Maricarmen focuses her practice in providing forensic accounting services in the measurement of damages and financial investigations on both a national and international level. She is presently involved in the supervision of numerous financial investigations, utilizing a staff of experienced professionals to assist in the completion of assignments.
Since 1997, Maricarmen has gained experience in all matters of insurance loss accounting and business interruption. She has handled complex claims for diverse businesses in the United States and Latin America including claims and damages resulting from the 2010 earthquake in Chile, Hurricane Ike (2008), Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma (2005), Hurricanes Charlie, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne (2004), Super Typhoon Pongsona (Guam) (2002), the World Trade Center disaster, and Tropical Storm Allison (2001). Maricarmen’s experience covers a wide range of industries including chemical, consumer products, energy, hospitality and gaming, textile, and manufacturing.
