Current Responsibilities
Chris Simons is a managing consultant for Marsh Risk Consulting’s Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) Practice. Based in Southern California, Chris’ responsibilities include the continued growth of the West Coast for FACS as well as servicing multinational clients.
Experience
Chris joined Marsh Risk Consulting in 2012. With over 19 years of experience, Chris specializes in the preparation and settlement of large and complex property and business interruption insurance claims for companies in the entertainment, manufacturing, financial services, hospitality, and retail industries. He has performed business interruption exposure studies, conducted white-collar crime investigations, and provided litigation support services to attorneys, including expert witness testimony.
Prior to joining FACS, Chris was a senior manager at a large professional services firm and responsible for managing large complex first-party property and business interruption claims. Chris has extensive claims experience in the United States and South America, which includes calculating business interruption losses in accordance with many policy forms. He has worked on catastrophe teams for a number of events including the recent flooding in Thailand and the Japan earthquake and tsunami, as well as Hurricanes Iniki and Katrina, the World Trade Center disaster, Cyclone Val, the 1994 earthquake in Northridge California, and the 1992 riots in Los Angeles, California.
