New York, October 18, 2010

While product recalls may have become standard fare in the daily news, their impact on a company’s brand, reputation and bottom line is anything but routine.
On October 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. ET, Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, will hold a one-hour webcast, "Product Recall Risks and Regulations," to address this very real and potentially devastating risk.
Key issues that will be discussed include an overview of the regulatory environment; updates on the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2009 and the proposed Foreign Manufacturers Legal Accountability Act of 2010 and Food Safety Enhancement Act; advice on product recall prevention, preparation and response; and a discussion of risk transfer options.
The panel consists of: Katherine A. Cahill, leader, Marsh Risk Consulting’s Global Product Risk Practice; William Harrison, leader, Marsh’s Product Recall Practice; Alan Schoem, senior vice president, Marsh's Global Product Recall Practice; and Lee Raynor, corporate director of risk management, Leviton Manufacturing.
Brian Elowe, a managing director of Marsh’s Global Risk Management Division, will moderate the panel discussion.
