Marsh today announced that John Newell has been named Head of the firm’s Oklahoma operations. Mr. Newell, based in Marsh’s Tulsa 
office, will be responsible for Marsh’s delivery of advisory and transactional services to its clients in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Mr. Newell succeeds Lynn Finch, who is relocating to Marsh’s Denver office to lead a new Energy Center of Excellence in the firm’s West Zone.
“As we grow our presence in the state, John Newell’s proven leadership and ability to deliver Marsh’s resources to our clients make him an ideal choice to lead our Oklahoma operations,” said Stephen Skeeter, Marsh’s South Central Partnership Leader, to whom Mr. Newell will report.

Mr. Newell has nearly a decade of insurance industry experience, all with Marsh. He previously was a senior relationship officer in Marsh’s Chicago office, and has also led Marsh’s Real Estate and Education practices in the firm’s Central Zone, which includes 18 offices across 12 states. He began his career with Marsh in 2003 as a property loss control and engineering consultant.
