Marsh Risk Consulting Named Best Global Supply Chain Risk Consulting Services Provider by Global Finance Magazine
Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) has been named to Global Finance magazine’s fifth annual list of the World’s Best Supply Chain Finance Providers. MRC was named best supply chain risk consulting services provider, a new category this year in Global Finance’s annual rankings.
“Adding supply chain risk consulting to this year’s rankings reflects the strategic importance that companies worldwide are placing on addressing their supply chain risk,” said Sandy Vietor, President, Global Specialties of Marsh Inc. “We have had deep expertise in this area for many years, but recently we have seen interest from a much broader spectrum of clients. Today, understanding and managing supply chain risk is a critical consideration for virtually any company that relies on suppliers to do business.”
MRC works with clients in more than 100 countries to meet the challenges posed by supply chain shocks and achieve greater resiliency. Using detailed data, analytics, mapping, and other tools, MRC helps its clients to assess their supply chain risks and to design and implement value-based solutions. This includes identifying resiliency options, modeling return on risk investments, and creating executable risk financing and mitigation solutions.
“For many companies, the ability to consistently deliver products and services quickly, reliably, and at low costs represents the bulk of their value proposition to customers and shareholders,” said Gary Lynch, Global Leader of Marsh Risk Consulting’s Supply Chain Risk and Resiliency Solutions Practice. “Critical to this goal is the maintenance of resilient and agile supply chains, which can translate into increased market share, brand loyalty, and enhanced shareholder value in the face of disruptions. We’re proud of this recognition by Global Finance, which reflects the commitment of Marsh Risk Consulting to delivering innovative, effective supply chain risk management solutions to our clients.”
Mr. Lynch, who was recently appointed a senior research fellow at the Supply Chain Management Center at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, will accept an award from Global Finance on behalf of MRC at the SIBOS 2012 Conference in Osaka, Japan, October 29-November 1. MRC and the other award winners will also be featured in the July/August issue of Global Finance.
