Marsh today announced that Scott Holden, a 28-year veteran of the firm and Pittsburgh area native, has been named Head of its Pittsburgh office. In his new role, Mr. Holden is responsible for ensuring that Marsh delivers superior advisory and transactional services to its clients in Pit
tsburgh.
“Scott's extensive knowledge of the Pittsburgh community, his passion for delivering value to Marsh’s clients, and his competitive spirit make him uniquely qualified for this critical role of head of one Marsh’s largest offices in the United States,” said Dan Deighton, Marsh’s East Central Partnership Leader, to whom Mr. Holden reports.
Mr. Holden added: “Marsh’s Pittsburgh office has long been known for its dedication to delivering superior service and innovative solutions to address our clients’ complex and evolving risk management needs. I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the office and continue to deliver our resources to help Pittsburgh businesses manage their risk effectively.”
Mr. Holden was previously the East Central Partnership Leader of Marsh’s Global Risk Management Practice, responsible for business development and service delivery for some of the largest clients in Marsh’s offices in Pittsburgh, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. He joined the Pittsburgh office of Johnson & Higgins, which was later acquired by Marsh, in 1983 as an executive trainee and has also held a number of other roles in management, sales, and client account management.
Mr. Holden is an active member of the Pittsburgh philanthropic community. He is a board trustee and vice president of the Western Pennsylvania & West Virginia chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and a member of the organization’s national board of representatives. He has also been recognized as an “outstanding citizen" by the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce.
