Risk & Insurance® magazine has named 46 Marsh colleagues as Power Broker® winners and finalists in its annual issue recognizing the industry’s best for their creativity, problem-solving ability, industry knowledge, and commitment to delivering superior client service.
Representing 18 different industry categories, 35 Marsh colleagues were recognized as 2011 Power Broker® winners. Marsh's four Responsibility Leaders® designations were the most for any individual organization. In addition, 11 Marsh colleagues were named finalists, and 16 colleagues were designated as Under-40 winners and finalists.
"The talent, dedication, and ingenuity of Marsh colleagues all contribute to Marsh’s position as the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor," said Joe McSweeny, President of Marsh’s United States and Canada Division. "The individuals selected as Power Brokers and finalists represent not only some of the most outstanding brokers at Marsh, but also the very best in the industry. We congratulate them on this honor, which represents our ongoing commitment to delivering superior client service."
The Power Broker® designations are based on nominations provided by brokers and risk managers as judged by separate panels of risk managers for each industry segment. Hundreds of risk managers were interviewed in the process of identifying, soliciting, evaluating, and judging the final nominations. Individuals were judged primarily on their creativity in solving risk-related problems during 2010, their industry knowledge, and their high level of client service.
