CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Marsh and its parent company Marsh & McLennan Companies share a proud history of services and support to the communities in which we operate and where our employees live and work. We commit at all times to conducting business in a responsible way and demonstrate our corporate social responsibility (CSR) through a range of programs and activities under the banner of “Helping People and Communities at Risk.”

The core elements of our CSR program are philanthropy and employee volunteerism and sustainability.

Philanthropy and Employee Volunteerism

Marsh makes donations to a wide range of charitable and not-for-profit organizations. General policies and guidelines for such giving are established centrally, with country management applying them as appropriate locally. To learn more about Marsh’s philanthropic programs in North America please contact us; for the rest of the world please contact Nick Jones

Marsh staff are encouraged to engage with, and contribute to the well-being of their local communities. This support varies from country to country and is demonstrated in a variety of ways, including the provision of  a day’s paid leave to assist on a community project and having a portion of an employee’s charitable fund-raising matched by the company.

Sustainability

We recognize our responsibility to do business in a way that protects and improves the state of the environment for future generations. Learn more about our sustainability policies and programs.

In addition to the above, all employees of Marsh & McLennan Companies are bound by our Code of Conduct, known as The Greater Good, which includes a section on “Building Trust with Communities.”

The company also applies a robust diversity and inclusion policy in support of a key objective to attract, retain, develop and motivate the best people in our fields of endeavor, at all levels.
